Hey, everybody!
Welcome back! Today I shot with "The Face" magazine. The Face is a mainstream UK magazine with a huge circulation so I was pretty stoked. There were two stylists, a hair and make-up person, a lighting guy, a photographer, and a p.a. , and for once, it was all for your loyal and humble narrator, o my brothers. No porno, no popshot, no F.I.P., no sex...just yours truly. At first I just wanted to shoot simple - like a Calvin Klein ad, then they explained to me that they were a fashion magazine still and I had to wear all of these really expensive clothes by all of these trendy hot new designers. The clothes were cool, just a little more flashy then I generally would wear. It's funny to wear gear that is considered "punk" and see it valued at hundreds of dollars for ripped and destroyed clothing. When I toured with Dee Dee Ramone I was all about vintage clothes, now that I actually have some dough, I like to wear new, quality made threads, preferably with a label. I like Diesel, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, and Perry Ellis. And I only wear Issey Miyaki cologne, haha. There you go...I should start my own "pornstar makeover" show for style challenged dudes out there, haha. I think buying expensive new clothes is fun, don't you? Anyway, the shoot was fucking awesome. The photographer from the FACE, named Anthony, was a true artiste with the lense. I got to see some of the polaroids from the shoot and I just really loved what they did with the lighting and the clothes (think: sultry punk bad boy in an industrial loft downtown) I'm told that the pictures and subsequent interview will appear in their March issue so be on the lookout! Anyway, Happy Groundhog's Day, everybody! I think ol' Puxatawney Phil saw his shadow and said, "Hell, naw! It's too damn cold out dere, beeyatch!" and went back to bed. Yes, it's true, Puxatawney Phill channels Snoop Dogg, and I'm going to bed. I've got to get plenty of rest to shoot those two sex scenes for VIVID tomorrow...
