Hey everybody!

Welcome back. Well I was all set to drive out to the location in Godforsaken Malibu when ring ring goes the mobile. "Hello?" says I. "Hey Kurt, it's Lisa (with Zero Tolerance, the company I was shooting for today). The girl you were supposed to work with didn't have her test." Ah well, there goes that. As sleazy as you may believe our biz to be, there is one hard, fast, rule (no pun intended, haha) YOU MUST HAVE YOUR CURRENT TEST (within 30 days) OR NO SCENE. That sucks in a way because I'm missing out on making my full rate for today, but I still get a handsome cancellation or "kill fee" which is customary in this biz when a scene is cancelled at extremely late notice and at no fault of the performers. So I get a paid day off. Took my BMW into get repairs with my assistant finally, remember my fender bender a couple of weeks ago? As of Fri. after paying a hefty ..gulp...$1,350 it will be just like new. Finally! It's hard enough when I pull up on the set and everybody else who's been in the biz longer than me are all flossin' in their fuckin' new Cadillac Escalades ( I admit...I want one, gotta pay off those friggin' student loans first tho, damn!) Anyway, after my three hour wait fiasco at Vegas airport yesterday it was nice to take an extra breather.
On the flipside. Not only should my feature in the mainstream magazine called THE FACE UK be coming out next month, BUT it has led to my second feature in a British magazine known as NEW WOMAN which I'm told has an even larger publication than THE FACE. Hey, I'm HUGE in England, haha! Well, if I get heat from over there first, I will be following in the proud footsteps of my fellow countrymen such as Jimi Hendrix, Stewart Copeland, and not to mention, the ENTIRE EARLY NINETIES GRUNGE EXPLOSION INCLUDING NIRVANA. All of the above were broke in England before they were big in the U.S. In some ways, the British are way more hip and avante garde and forward thinking than we yanks. Or if I may be so bold, as Jesus said, "No man is a prophet in his own land," haha! Sorry, I'm chomping at the bit to see the movie "The Passion of Christ."
I'm off to go embarrass myself at "Pornstar Karaoke" yes, that's right, it truly exists, see what you are missing out on? Hope things are well with you in your corner of the world.
