Hey everybody!

Welcome back! Hope your weekend was as relaxing as mine. After shooting something like ten scenes last week I needed it! I gotta couple of more days rest to go (which'll include a trip to Universal Studios) then I've got thirteen scenes to shoot over the next sixteen days (wish me luck, haha!) Anyway, I got to see some of those movies I wrote about earlier. The aforementioned, "SCHOOL OF ROCK" is fucking hilarious and JACK BLACK IS the new Belushi (only more erudite and self-aware). Also caught, KILL BILL which is the fourth film by one of my favorite directors of all time QUENTIN FUCKIN' TARANTINO! ("Zed's dead, baby....Zed's dead.) Quentin Tarantino just fuckin' rocks, I wish I could be in one of his movies. All of his characters are so fucking clever and cool and well-written. As ever with a QT movie, you can play "spot the reference" if you are a filmfile like myself. And QT doesn't exactly hide his influences-everything from The old Shaw Bros. Kung-Fu movies (which I wasted far too many Sunday afternoons watching as an adolescent) Bruce Lee's Kato mask from the "Green Hornet" TV show and his yellow and black track suit from "Enter the Dragon" now worn on the ultra-fine UMA THURMAN. (I've tried and tried to convince Ava that she should go as Uma's character for Halloween with the bad ass yellow and black Bruce Lee tracksuit and resplendent with the blood and cuts that Uma's character called "the Bride" recieves at the hands of her foes in the movie, but alas, to no avail... Lovely Ava is leaning towards...I won't give it away here but let's just say I'd think it'd be way cooler if she went as Uma's character from KILL BILL but oh well she's still the most beautiful woman on the planet in my opinion, so I can't really complain haha!) But back to KILL BILL, Tarantino also continues his fetishes here with his muse, UMA. I lost count of how many ECU (extreme close-ups) there were of Uma's fingers and toes haha! As far as other movies go, I haven't seen "WONDERLAND" yet, tho I'm dying to. A good friend of mine saw it and he told me it was like a whole movie about the last half of "Boogie Nights." Well, I've seen a lot of bad shit on sets (chicks on drugs, dudes who bring guns to the sets, female victimization to the point of "legal rape", extreme jealousy and backstabbing, rampant megalomania and exce$$) and when this is such a part of your daily life, I think you can see why I've chosen to see the good-natured escapism of SCHOOL OF ROCK and KILL BILL before I subject myself to WONDERLAND. (Tho it has introduced the phrase, "Don't make me pull a Wonderland on yo ass!" to my life, and for that I am eternally grateful haha! Relax, I'm kidding... But Dick Delaware on the other hand...haha! Just kidding, Dick, don't kill me haha!)

But I digress...
